Ben Gates (Nicholas Cage) and his band of treasure hunters are back again for another go round. National Treasure: Book of Secrets starts off with the Gate’s family finally getting the respect and credibility it deserved only to have it all thrown into question by a mysterious man with an accusation and “evidence” of its legitimacy. And off we go on another wild treasure hunt that takes us from the National Library in D.C. to Buckingham Palace in England and everywhere in between. Oh yeah, there is that silly old President’s Book that is the missing key to everything, but I will let you find out exactly what that is. Here is a secret, check page 46 lol.
As always the writers have made the movie easy to follow and all the clues and paths those clues lead our treasure hunters down believable. This movie has much more action than the first one but still holds true to its analytical roots with great puzzles and its multitude of historical references, who knew history could be this fun?
